WHAT YOU VISIT
James Bond Island or Khao Ping-Gun
Your tour begins as board your motorcoach for a scenic, 60-minute drive to local pier, the Boat Lagoon.
From there, you'll board a speed boat for a tour around the bay, and witness sheer limestone cliffs that jut vertically out of the emerald green water. Along your route is Khao Ping Gun Island, also known as James Bond Island, the setting for the famous final scene of the James Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun. The island is dominated by its towering, fractured cliff, with each slab of rock leaning against the other. While circumnavigating the islands, keep your camera handy for nearby Koh Tapu, a dramatic feature that rises out of the waters in front of James Bond Island and resembles a giant spike driven into the sea.

Panyl Island
Built entirely on stilts on Phang Nga Bay beneath a giant limestone cliff, Panyi Island is home to a 150-year-old fishing village and about 1,600 inhabitants. Once you arrive, you'll meet the locals and possibly visit the island's local school and/or floating football field (flat sheets of wood tied up to the floating buoy) with its towering minaret.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
The scenic beauty of Phang Nga Bay reveals jungle-draped cliffs, spectacular outcrops of limestone rocks and caves, mangroves and canals make ideal subjects.

LUNCH
After your visit to Panyl Island, the speedboat will take you back to the local pier and a bus transfer to your local restaurant serving an international/Thai buffet.

SHOPPING
Enjoy shopping for small souvenirs, semi-precious stones, leather goods, at a local reputable store and even more at Panyl Island's stalls and shops built entirely on stilts high above the sea.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Also known as Ao Phang Nga National Park, Phang Nga Bay stretches out 400 square kilometers (150 square miles) between Phuket and the mainland of the Kra Isthmus of southern Thailand. As the speedboat zips through the bay be sure to be on the lookout for the breathtakingly beautiful "James Bond Island" (or Khao Ping Kan), made famous as a shooting location for "The Man with the Golden Gun."
