Briksdal Glacier by Troll Car
Experience the profound beauty of the Olden Valley with a scenic drive to breathtaking Briksdal Glacier, a massive ice sheet that flows 4,000 feet down a mountainside into the picturesque Briksdal Valley. Located in Jostedalsbreen National Park, it's only 15 minutes south of the village of Olden. Once you reach the quaint Briksdal Inn, you'll board a small, open-air buggy called a Troll Car and travel to the Briksdal Glacier. Here, you'll disembark and walk the remaining 550 yards to the lookout point. The ride to and from the glacier offers great views of waterfalls, raging rivers, and mountain vistas.

Be at one with nature as you walk to the glacier and photograph its many shades of blue and turquoise.

Note: The walk to the Glacier from the troll cars will take approximately 15 minutes over some steep, uneven terrain. The troll cars are not covered and will operate in the event of rain. Please wear comfortable, enclosed walking shoes and carry a bottle of water and a warm waterproof jacket. Please heed the warning signs erected near the Glacier and do not venture beyond the safety barriers. The Glacier is not visible from the refreshment venue. This tour involves tunnels.
