WHAT YOU VISIT
Yaaman Adventure Park
The sprawling 999-acre 18th century former plantation is home to banana, cassava, sugar cane, coffee, allspice and many other crops. A scenic ride along the coast in the "Jitney," an open-air tractor-drawn carriage ends at the historical and majestic Great House located 1,100 feet above sea level. Here, a guide will escort you around the gardens amassed with beautiful and fragrant flowers and lead you to the veranda, which boasts breathtaking views. Later, get your motor running with an exciting dune buggy ride. After a brief orientation and helmet fitting, you'll take these machines off road through the magnificent tropical scenery with a few unique photo opportunities along the way.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
During your scenic walk through the beautiful ornamental garden, you'll be surrounded by a wide variety of herbs and tropical plants such as cat whiskers with its spikes of long white stamens and plumbago, prized for its profusion of blue phlox-like flowers. At the end of the garden path you'll have awesome panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea. It is said that on a very clear day, you can see the shoreline of Cuba, located only 90 miles away.

LUNCH
Join the chef in the Sea View kitchen on the veranda of the Great House for a cooking lesson and learn how to prepare local favorites such as jerk chicken, steamed callaloo, and rice and peas. Then, sit down and enjoy your culinary creation while peering out at the Caribbean Sea.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
As you make your way to Yaaman Adventure Park, your entertaining and informative tour guide will share tales of the buccaneers as you view the channel between the two Islands known as the Spanish Main, the main route taken by ships en route to Spain from Central America. Your unique sightseeing tour also offers a bird's eye view of the Magnificent White River George as it rushes through the lush rain forest below.
