What you will visit:
Blue Lagoon Island & Beach
Just three miles from Nassau, yet worlds away, Blue Lagoon Island, also known by its official name, Salt Cay, offers the quintessential tropical oasis experience. Surrounded by sparkling, crystal-clear waters and studded with hundreds of native coconut palm trees, its white-sand shores and lush vegetation offer pristine, natural beauty and a glimpse of native Bahamian animal life. Enjoy the beach before or after the sea lion experience. Free Wi-Fi is available.
Animal Encounters
Three separate marine species adventures await at this beautiful, American Humane Certified facility. Begin at the floating Dolphin Encounter platform, where you'll stand waist-deep and engage in heartwarming interactions including hugs, dances, and rubdowns with dolphins, facilitated by knowledgeable trainers. Next, enjoy a Sea Lion Encounter, meeting these intelligent and comical creatures in their natural habitat. You'll marveling at their antics and delight in learning about their swimming skills, diet and more from expert guides. In a small-group setting, feed and cradle a Bahamian nurse shark, watch expert trainers guide it through the ocean pool, then snorkel in its natural habitat. Encounter order may vary. For the safety of both the animals and visitors' personal property, guests may not bring cameras, cell phones or other electronic devices on the platforms of any animal program.
What you will see along the way:
Cruise by ferry through Nassau's historic harbor and take in picturesque views of its shoreline, studded with luxury homes and resorts. You'll pass Paradise Island and nearby islets as you glide through the turquoise waters. Coconut trees and a crystalline lagoon beckon as you approach Blue Lagoon Island.
Photo Opportunities:
On-site professional photographers can capture your animal encounters, and you will have an opportunity to purchase an array of souvenirs from your experience.
