Iceberg Cruise
Greenland offers a stunning landscape unlike any other in the world, and the seas that surround the massive island are as unique and variable as the island itself. Massive icebergs, each as different in size, shape and color as a snowflake, not only offer a scintillating visual experience but also are home to the area's abundant marine wildlife. Many species of whales swim amongst the towering giants, while walruses and seals stop to rest atop them, and a variety of birds circle the skies and make their nests on the floating surfaces.
What you will see along the way:
The sea is a fundamental part of the Greenlandic identity. The early Inuit called the area their home even before the 10th century, when the Vikings made their way to the rugged terrain. Icebergs too played a role, as they were often used as town markers and to keep track of the changing seasons. Each massive form is unique in its shape and coloring, making these stunning natural monuments the subject of art, sculpture and photography throughout history.

Schedule

Special Notes

Guests should bring mosquito nets, mosquito repellent, and good walking shoes and should dress according to the weather conditions. Toilet facilities will not be available.
The level of guide experience varies due to the remoteness of the location. Limited tourism infrastructure is part of the charm here, and you are trading breadth of experience for authentic interaction.
Please bring your spirit of adventure and bear with any language difficulties your guide may encounter and with any operational surprises that may crop up.
