Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction.
If a picture says a thousand words, then by the end of this 3.5-hour adventure you'll have plenty to say. With a professional photographer as a guide, you can capture the stunning wonders of Moorea, from panoramic vistas to quaint villages while picking up valuable tips and techniques to get that perfect shot.
In order to receive personal one-on-one instruction, this is a small-group tour with only 15 passengers maximum. Be sure to bring all your cameras and gear; even a small "point and click" camera can capture the majesty of Mother Nature. You'll be traveling by a 4x4 with short walks so be sure to wear sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, insect repellant, as well as comfortable clothes and walking shoes with non-skid soles. Since the day's weather could be unpredictable, bring along rainwear.
First, you'll begin your day getting acquainted with your accomplished photographer and small group of fellow photo buffs. Depending on the day's conditions, he'll select a number of his favorite spots around the island. Some locations lend themselves to longer or shorter stops. But the excursion is not set to a rigid schedule - the focus is getting the most out of your camera and capturing the beauty of this tropical oasis.
Then, you'll board a rugged 4x4 vehicle for a picturesque ride that hugs the coastline to the west side of the island. Sit back and admire the gorgeous views that pass by your window: lush green vegetation, beautiful gardens, a turquoise blue lagoon and the Pacific Ocean's endless horizon.
More tropical sights greet you as your driver turns inland and coastal vistas give way to large pineapple fields and subtropical forests dotted with ancient archeological sites.
Soon, you'll approach Belvedere Lookout. Perched on the slopes of Mt. Tohivea, this spot offers a wonderful opportunity to photograph Rotui, a spectacular 2,949 foot-high peak. As you get your camera poised for this dazzling panorama of earth, sea and sky your knowledgeable photo guide will offer helpful advice on how to compose your shot.
From this unique vantage point you can see Opunohu Bay on the west side and Cook's Bay on the east. The shark-toothed mountain that rises up in the center is the 2,499-foot-tall Mt. Moua Roa that's featured on souvenirs, postcards and the country's 100 CFP coin.
Back in the vehicle, you'll travel on to a world of exotic wonder: an amazing blue lagoon, lush green mountains, colorful fruits and flowers, and the historic 105-year-old Papetoai village, home of the South Pacific's oldest standing European building.
Finally, at the end of your photo journey, you'll return to your ship with your heart and camera filled with wild and wonderful memories of breathtaking beauty.
