Around the Island by 4WD
With a well-trained driver behind the wheel, you can soak up the beauty of the island as you head out of Mindelo and into the breathtaking countryside. With towering 750-meter-tall Monte Verde (2460-feet-tall) watching over you, you'll travel through the valley of Ribeira de Calhau, a coastal village set between two volcanos, where colorful wooden sailing boats bob in the ocean. Your final stop is Praia Grandee, a lovely white sand beach that's popular with surfers.

Enjoy plenty of photo stops as your driver heads off the beaten path and steers his way around the island to of Flamengo, that offers panoramic views of the uninhabited islands of Santa Luzia, Raso, and Branco(weather permitting), situated southeast of Cape Verde.
