South Beach (independent exploration)

Truly, South Beach has something for everyone. Famous as a perfect spot for celebrity watching and its night-life, the area is also known for the spectacular art deco architecture of Ocean Drive, as well as the powdery sand and crystal blue waters of its glorious beaches. A full spectrum of dining is available, from simple fare to elaborate creations from celebrity chefs, in a town where indie shops rub up against world-class designer boutiques all set amidst fantastic outdoor cafes and fascinating museums.

What you will see along the way:
Your orientation drive will introduce you to the South Beach area. The drop-off point will be at Washington Avenue and 10th Street; however, during inclement weather, this will change to Collins Avenue and Lincoln Road.

Lunch:

You'll have ample time to venture out on your own and get a taste of Miami cuisine (at your own expense). Restaurants and cafes serve up some of the finest and most innovative meals and are often staffed by chefs who have won international accolades. With the freshest seafood, sushi and sashimi, traditional steakhouses, funky burger joints, and Peruvian and Cuban cuisine, it's no wonder South Beach is an international foodie destination for casual, swanky and stylish eats.

Shopping:

The South Beach shopping district holds dozens of stores that will delight anyone looking for that special reminder of their visit. From ultra trendy clothes to sparkling jewelry and stylish accessories, you'll find something new at every turn. Ocean Drive is the place to be seen, with more than 30 designer brands such as Guess, Armani, Tommy Hilfiger, and Kenneth Cole setting the trends. On Collins Avenue, you'll find Bal Harbour, an open-air shopping mall that features luxury boutiques amidst elegantly landscaped gardens and water features.
