WHAT YOU VISIT
Old Town Open-Air Trolley Tour
Embark on a fun, short and easy guided tour of Old Mazatlan aboard an open-air trolley with a guide leading the way and plenty of photos stops. Once in the city's historic district you'll hop off and follow your guide to the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, the world's only Roman Catholic Church with the Star of David displayed in each of its 28 stained-glass windows. From there, you'll stroll through the narrow cobblestone streets to Machado Square (now a cultural center with a bohemian flare) before reboarding the trolley to view the fearless cliff divers. Then, ride to Taboada´s esplanade next to Mazatlan´s old beachfront "Olas Altas" for views of the high-flying divers at Diver's Point and stop for photos at the Mazatlan letters. And you might want to take a selfie with the Shrimp Ladies who sell shrimp fresh off the boat on one of the town´s main street sidewalks.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
Many monuments line the Malecón including one of the best-known and the city's oldest, the "Monumento al Pescador."
