WHAT YOU VISIT
Heritage Taco Fiesta
Feast on your own handmade tortillas served up with an authentic "taquiza," a traditional Mexican, buffet-style taco bar. Learn the tips and techniques needed to recreate the dishes in your own kitchen. Upon arriving at a private hacienda-style home in Mazatlan's Historic Center, you'll meet up with your hosts Dare to make your own tortilla to sample tacos with different fillings of your choice or volunteer to make a salsa to spice them up. You'll delve into the history, origin, tradition and preparation process of corn and its by-products like the tortilla and the tamal among others. Listen to Mexican folkloric music and watch a "tortillera" lady makes the tortillas for your own tacos. Garnish them with a variety of salsas and cool down with refreshing hibiscus or pineapple-ade drinks.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
Following your taco fiesta, you can join in on a guided walk to Machado Square, a lovely square in Centro Historico (Old Town). Its old-world charm, architecture and popular attractions make ideal photo subjects.

LUNCH
Learn about Mexican culinary culture and how to eat "Mexican style" while sampling a variety of tacos such as "nopal" (prickly pear cactus), "huitlacoche" (corn mushroom), "pollo" (chicken in sour cream), "chicharron" (pork rind), "birria" (steamed bbq beef) and the classic Mazatlan shrimp taco. All ready to be complemented with salsas of your choice: verde, roja, salsa tatemada, salsa guacamole and pico de gallo. Two beverages of bottled water, hibiscus tea or pineapple-ade add to the menu.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
From the pier, you'll travel along Mazatlan´s picturesque coastline, admiring El Faro Lighthouse and the small "Southern Brother" and "Northern Brother" islands off in the distance.
