Manzanillo has long been known for its beautiful beaches, warm and sunny climate and fantastic shopping. On this six-and-a-half-hour excursion, you'll be able to experience a little bit of everything.
Your guided tour begins as you board your fully air-conditioned transportation and travel to downtown Manzanillo for a stroll through Avenida Mexico, the main plaza, in search of souvenirs. This open-air market overflows with stores selling clothes, postcards, T-shirts and souvenirs.
After browsing the various markets you'll climb back on your vehicle and travel down Miguel de la Madrid, Manzanillo's main boulevard towards the Peninsula de Santiago for a photo stop. Jutting out into Manzanillo Bay, the peninsula offers scenic views of the city, the crescent shaped beaches, and the Las Hadas resort, one of the city's most famous and the location of the popular movie 10, which starred Bo Derek and Dudley Moore.
Back onboard, you'll continue along Manzanillo's winding narrow streets past whitewashed homes and resorts towards the Miramar Flea Market. Established as a series of booths along Manzanillo's unspoiled beaches, the market is a great place to browse and barter for clothing, gold, silver and shell jewelry. As you stroll along the beach, many food vendors will offer you a chance to indulge in some of the local specialties including candy made of coconut and tamarind. However, if you're not interested in bargaining or tasting, vendors will comply with a simple "no gracias."
Then, you'll drive the short distance to the Beach venue for refreshments and two and a half hours of free time to relax on the golden sand and take a dip in the calm waters.
At the end of the day, you'll return to the pier along the same scenic route.
