Your half-day tour begins as you board your motorcoach for the village of Sekotong. En route, you'll spy cultivated lowlands dotted with rice terraces and fruit, nut and spice plantations. Upon arriving in this peaceful village, you'll witness island houses with distinctive thatched roofs. Your first stop uncovers how these roofs are made. You'll visit a local grass roof factory, where Lombok-style thatch is woven from native alang-alang grass and rice straw.

Next on your itinerary is Sundancer Beach, one of the island's finest beaches, boasting protected bays, magnificent coral and the crystal clear blue waters of the Lombok Strait, all set against a backdrop of lush green mountains. You'll have approximately 1 1/4 hours of free time to swim in its warm crystalline waters, sunbathe or comb the beach. Should you prefer to snorkel or scuba dive, you can enjoy these activities, and more, at an additional cost.

Next, you'll make a photo stop at a traditional country brick factory. You'll watch in awe as locals manufacture traditional island-style brick. After capturing a photo or two, you'll board your motorcoach for a relaxing drive back to the pier.
