Your full-day tour begins as you board your motorcoach for drive to Banyu Mulek, a village known throughout the international art world for enormous, elaborately decorated pots. Upon arriving, you'll climb aboard a Cidomo (traditional horse cart) for a tour around the village, where you'll spy skilled craftsmen processing clay into beautiful export quality pottery, and have an opportunity to purchase a pot or two.

You'll drive to Sukarara, a craft village especially prized for the quality of its songket, a colorful, hand-woven silk or cotton brocade often embellished with metallic fabrics. You'll be mesmerized at the weavers' unerring skill and patience as they create some of the brightest fabrics interwoven with intricate designs.

Scenic villages, lush green tropical plantations and rice fields fill the landscape as you continue on to Sade Village, a Lombok village dotted with traditional Sasak houses. The Sasak are the indigenous people of Lombok. Like many ethnic groups in Indonesia, they belong to the Austronesians who migrated from mainland Asia 5,000 years BC to populate South East Asia all the way to the South Pacific Islands. Today 85% of the Lombok population is Sasak.

Each Sasak house contains an interior platform, raised about three feet off the ground, and made from a mixture of clay, dung and straw. The surface is eventually polished to a high gloss finish, and the roof made of thatching, with bamboo or palm walls. Sade is also home to the traditional bonnet-shaped rice barns - Lumbungs - the symbol of Lombok.

Your last stop is Kuta Beach, quite possibly the best seascape in Lombok, and home to Pullman Resort. Located on the southern shore of Lombok island, this four-star resort overlooks the shimmering white sand and turquoise bay of Kuta Beach. Prepare yourself for warm island service and a sumptuous Indonesian buffet lunch. You'll also have free time to relax and enjoy the sparkling swimming pool or crystal blue water of the beach before returning to the port.
