This full-day tour takes you from the coast to the verdant interior, where you'll visit a premium coffee estate, explore a charming historic church, and enjoy a delicious lunch.

Scenic Drive into the Heart of Costa Rica: Departing from the pier, enjoy a picturesque drive through rolling hills and scenic valleys while your guide shares fascinating stories about Costa Rica's history and coffee culture. Your destination: the beautiful Turrialba Valley, set in the shadow of the Turrialba Volcano.

Visit to Historic Coffee Estate: Arrive at the Aquiares Estate, Costa Rica's longest-running coffee estate, founded in the late 19th Century. Here, all coffee is grown naturally, sustainably, and without pesticides or chemicals-a tradition maintained for more than 200 years.

Coffee Farm Walk & Lookout Point: Stroll through the plantation with a local grower who will show you coffee plants at various stages of growth and explain traditional planting, nurturing, and harvesting methods. Watch a live demonstration of hand-picking the ripe fruit-a technique that has ensured exceptional quality for generations. Take in breathtaking panoramic views of the valley from a scenic lookout.

Coffee Mill & Production Plant: Step inside the estate's historic mill to see the impressive machinery and spotless facilities where beans are processed and roasted. Watch beans roast while your guide teaches you about the stages of production, quality grading, and the characteristics that give coffee its unique flavors. See sacks of freshly roasted beans ready to be shipped to coffee lovers around the world.

SHOPPING:
Coffee Tasting & Shopping: Savor a complimentary Cup of Joe to discover the distinct notes and decide on your favorite, whether rich and chocolatey, bright and fruity, or delicately citrusy. Have the opportunity to purchase premium coffee to take home for brewing or to give to friends and family. The coffee at this estate is high quality and all natural.

LUNCH:
Lunch at Historic Church: Following your immersion into the world of coffee, a short walk brings you to the beautiful Aquiares Church, a National Architectural Historic Monument built in 1925 from materials brought over from Europe. Steeped in history, the church and its tropical garden remain a cherished gathering place for the community. Enjoy a delicious lunch on its tranquil grounds before your return journey to the port.
