Board your comfortable sailing catamaran and have a seat - there are both shady and sunny places where you can watch the scenery go by. You will cruise Akrotiri Bay, a sparkling blue section of the Mediterranean Sea just off Cyprus's southeastern coast. The southernmost point of the peninsula is Cape Gata - which is also the southernmost point not only of Cyprus, but of the entire European Union! You'll have spectacular views of the water and, back towards land, of the ancient city of Limassol, which has been inhabited since at least 2000 B.C.

Aboard the catamaran, you can sip a soft drink or sample some fresh fruit as you cruise the bay. The boat also has a freshwater shower and a swimming platform, which will come in handy when you pull up for a dip at Lady's Mile Beach. This lovely, calm beach has shallow waters and a wide gentle slope of sand. Its name reportedly comes from the name of a horse, Lady, belonging to a British officer at the nearby military base, who used to love to gallop along its shoreline.
