WHAT YOU VISIT
Bangkok
Discover one of the world's most exciting cities on a design-your-own adventure. You set the pace and choose the places you wish to see with ample time to wander from one intriguing site to another. Your first destination is the awe-inspiring Wat Po, one of the largest and oldest wats (temples) in Bangkok with more than 1,000 Buddha images, including the Reclining Buddha. Then, you're free to browse for souvenirs in the gift shop inside the temple before boarding your motorcoach for a drive to a drop-off point at Bangkok's Asia Hotel, which provides easy access to taxis, skytrain, river cruises, shops and restaurants. Some of the sights you may wish to seek out include the Wat Suthat Temple, whose impressive bronze Buddha image stands over seven meters (25 feet) tall. The Grand Palace, an opulent 18th century royal complex, is another site worth visiting. Or see Bangkok from a different perspective with a cruise on the Chao Phraya River. At the end of your day, meet the motorcoach at the designated time at Asia Hotel and enjoy a relaxing journey back to port.
The local currency is the Thai Baht and is required for entrance fees to most venues. Currency exchange is available in the city at major hotels and various local banks within the vicinity of Asia Hotel.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
Everywhere you point your camera will be one memorable photo after another.

And of course, you can't go wrong with pad Thai, one Thailand's national dishes of stir-fried rice noodles with cilantro, red pepper flakes, and shrimp.
