Bangkok
See all the major sights exciting Bangkok has to offer with a sightseeing tour you customize yourself. Your drop-off point in Bangkok provides easy access to taxis, river cruises, shops and restaurants. You might choose to visit the Temple of the Golden Buddha, home to a famous statue of the Buddha carved from solid gold. Probably the most famous place in Thailand to visit is Wat Phra Kaeo, the Royal Chapel of the Emerald Buddha, located on the grounds of the Grand Palace, Bangkok's most spectacular landmark. Stroll through its ornate and elaborate courtyards and down to Chao Phraya River, where you can take a riverboat cruise. Glide past Wat Arun, known as the Temple of the Dawn, which once served as the Royal Chapel. You may also see the Phra Prang, a 260-foot high pagoda decorated with ceramic tiles and fragments of multi-colored porcelain.

The local currency is the Thai Baht and is required for entrance fees to most venues. Currency exchange is available in the city at major hotels and various local banks within the vicinity of Asia Hotel.
