WHAT YOU VISIT
Cooperative Agricoltura Cinque Terre
For 50 years, the 220-member cooperative bearing the name of Cantina Cinque Terre has married cutting-edge technologies with traditional methods to preserve the area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, from unsustainable exploitation. Boasting 46 hectares (113 acres) of vineyards, the cooperative's building of cog railway lifts, a water supply system, trails, terraces, and dry walls has led to the sustainability of the wine producing process and its profits are used to protect the area, as well as to the wellbeing of the local community. Your visit ends with tastings of the best local wines accompanied by local products.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
Enjoy a stop overlooking the village of Riomaggiore, considered to be the most romantic of the Cinque Terre villages. From your vantage point, you can see its multi-colored houses all tightly clustered around a tiny natural harbor carved out in between the rocks.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
At the pier, you'll step aboard an open-top bus and embark on a leisurely drive along the upper road above the rugged Cinque Terre coastline with its jaw-dropping views of terraced vineyards, olive groves and rocky cliffs topped with houses.

Schedule

Special Notes

Guests must be 18 years old to taste wine and should be able to negotiate at least 15 steps to enter the winery.
