WHAT YOU VISIT
Balandra Hiking & Beach Break
Photographers, nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts will thrill to the sight of Balandra's tranquil beaches, hidden coves and lush mangroves. With an expert naturalist guide leading the way, you're sure to learn about the area's flora and fauna as you hike along the winding trail. Your adventure begins with an early pickup from the port to the trail head. Here, you'll follow your guide through a rugged terrain offering stunning views of the coastline, rocky cliffs and impressive rock formations like "El Hongo," a limestone mushroom-shaped rock forged by wind, waves and rainwater. Ninety minutes later, you'll reach Tecolote Beach, where the clean and clear water beckons you for a swim, some relaxation and a complementary cold beer.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
Have your camera handy for shots of the red mountains that stand in stark contrast to miles of white sand stretching along the turquoise waters.

SNACKS
After working up an appetite, you can purchase fresh fish tacos at the beachside restaurant before returning to the pier.
