WHAT YOU VISIT
Baja Adventure: Sandboarding at El Mogote
Similar to snow boarding, you use a specially waxed board to glide down sand dunes like those at El Mogote. Never tried sandboarding? No worries. While reaching up to 30 meters (100 feet), there are plenty of smaller and mid-sized dunes so everyone can enjoy sand boarding at their own level. Once you arrive at the meeting point, you'll gear up and choose between a sandboard (if you're feeling adventurous), or a sand sled or boogie board. The expert guides will lead a safety briefing and walk you through sandboarding basics and techniques tailored to your type of board. Then, you're ready to feel the rush of riding the dunes. When you're ready to cool off, feel free to dive into the sparkling sea (weather and water conditions permitting).

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
The turquoise waters lapping gently against El Mogote's golden dunes make an ideal "look what you are missing" shot to show the folks back home.

SNACKS
After the action, it's time to slow down with well-deserved refreshments including soft drinks, water, sodas and seasonal fruit.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
From the pier, it's just a scenic 25-minute ride along La Paz's boardwalk with stunning views of the Sea of Cortez.
