This wide-ranging tour explores some of the many facets of Malaysia: crafts, countryside and commerce! Your motorcoach will whisk you from port to Malaysia's cosmopolitan, multicultural capital, Kuala Lumpur, which locals simply call "KL." During the drive, you will see some of the commercial and infrastructure development that make this modern city one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the world.

Your first stop is the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia (FRIM), where a delightful and informative museum showcases the country's rich natural wonders. Learn about the different native fruit trees, conifers and monocots (which include grains, grasses, flowers, palms and familiar edibles, like onions, garlic and ginger) to be found in the region. After your visit to the museum, stroll through the surrounding park and marvel at the lush tropical rainforest.

From the natural wonders of Malaysia, travel to the man-made wonders that can be created with some of the natural elements found here. Your next stop is the internationally renowned pewter manufacturer Royal Selangor. When Yong Koon, a young Chinese craftsman, came to Kuala Lumpur in 1885, he founded this family-owned company and started making household items out of pewter. Still run by the third and fourth generation of the Yoon family, Royal Selangor uses a high level of craftsmanship and innovative design

After this morning of craftsmanship and the outdoors, you will be ready for an independent lunch, followed by free-time to browse and shop at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, one of the city's premier shopping and lifestyle destinations, located in the heart of the Bukit Bintang district.

Enjoy some free time exploring Kuala Lumpur's most upscale and trendy shopping and entertainment area before rejoining your motorcoach at the designated time for the relaxing ride back to port.
