Hop-On, Hop-Off Tour

This seven-mile beach and shopping adventure offers a seamless blend of history, culture and natural beauty, providing the perfect way to explore this iconic destination at your own pace. Your tour begins with a live narration by an expert guide, bringing the stories of ancient Hawaii to life as you follow the Ali'i Trail, once walked by the kings of the islands. Along the way, enjoy the freedom to hop on and off the tour bus at seven incredible stops, each showcasing Kona's stunning landscapes, and a diverse array of shopping experiences, from local markets to boutique treasures. Discounts are offered from various vendors when you show your wristband.

There are seven stops along the way, ensuring something for everyone. Begin with Keauhou Shopping Center, offering shopping, dining and local art. Kahalu'u Beach: This snorkeler's paradise (bring your own equipment) abounds with tropical fish and sea turtles that thrive in this sheltered cove. Magic Sands Beach: Witness the wonder of disappearing sands at this picturesque beach. Ali'i Garden Marketplace: Stroll through a peaceful garden setting filled with shops and eateries. Coconut Grove: Relax and recharge at this lively area filled with shops and views of Kailua Bay. Farmers Market: Immerse yourself in the local flavors, fresh fruits and handmade souvenirs. Hulihe'e Palace and Mokuaikaua Church: Step back in time at Hawaii's first Christian church and the historic Hulihe'e Palace, a former royal residence that now showcases artifacts and stories from Hawaii's regal past.

Special Notes
The tour offers 7 stops and unlimited rides throughout the day. Buses depart each stop approximately every 30 minutes. Admission to attractions along the route is not included. If visiting Hulihe'e Palace, it is recommended to purchase ticket in advance. Guests are expected to board and disembark at various stops throughout the day. On the first loop, guests riding the entire loop without getting off may be asked to disembark upon return to pier to accommodate ticketed guests scheduled for next departures. They can reboard the next available bus. Guests are encouraged to research stops in advance to plan where they would like to hop on and off. Please bring reef-safe sunscreen if going in the water. Many retailers and restaurants offer discounts to those showing the wristband provided on tour.
