Katsurahama
Departing from Kochi New Port, the tour first travels to Katsurahama Beach, one of the region's most iconic coastal landmarks. Framed by pine groves and facing the vast Pacific Ocean, the gently curving shoreline provides dramatic scenery and refreshing sea views. The area is also closely associated with Sakamoto Ryoma, a historical figure deeply connected to Kochi, whose statue overlooking the ocean symbolizes the region's progressive spirit and historical significance.

Chikurin-ji Temple
The tour continues to Chikurin-ji Temple, the 31st temple of the Shikoku Pilgrimage, located on the wooded slopes of Mount Godai. Known for its elegant wooden halls, moss-covered grounds, and beautifully maintained gardens, the temple offers a calm and spiritual atmosphere. Its long history provides insight into the religious traditions and pilgrimage culture that have shaped Shikoku for centuries, while elevated viewpoints allow guests to enjoy scenic views over Kochi City.

Makino Botanical Garden
The journey continues to Makino Botanical Garden, dedicated to Dr. Tomitaro Makino, a pioneering botanist from Kochi. The expansive garden displays a wide variety of plant species from Japan and around the world, beautifully arranged across indoor and outdoor spaces. Seasonal flowers and carefully curated exhibits highlight the region's connection to nature and scientific study.
