What You Visit:
Cook my Catch Authentic Alaska Fishing
Your guide will meet you at your ship for a short walk to the marina. Upon arrival you'll be led through the licensing process and then be outfitted like a real Alaskan fisherman. Since Alaska weather can be unpredictable, you'll be outfitted with rain gear, rubber boots, a hat and gloves. After a safety briefing, you're ready to board your vessel, a 24-foot custom designed Raider boat.
With your experienced fishing guide by your side, you'll learn the secrets to catching one of the multiple species found on the deep-sea floor by working the sandy flats, drifting with the current, and jigging in waters as deep as 300 feet. Species availability changes throughout the season, and daily factors such as tides and wind affect your fishing opportunities. Down in the twilight of the deep, rockfish, cod, flounder, sharks, skates and mighty halibut find their way to your pole. When you catch a fish, you can arrange to have it processed, packaged, frozen, and shipped to your door for an additional charge. Princess chefs can also cook and serve the fish for lunch or dinner.
Photo Opportunity:
After returning to the dock, your Alaskan fishing guide will assist with taking photos of the day's catch.
Snack:
Enjoy smoked salmon dip and crackers, fruit, cookie and bottled water while admiring the scenery.
What Your See Along The Way:
As you make your way to the perfect fishing spot, you may see an eagle flying overhead, a seal playfully bobbing up and down in the water or even a humpback cruising by.
