WHAT YOU VISIT
Kalapaki & Huleia River Catamaran Cruise
Set sail on a scenic and relaxing cruise of the historically significant areas of Kalapaki Bay, Nawiliwili, Haupu Mountain Range, Hulei'a River and Ninini Point aboard a state-of-the-art 50-foot catamaran with two full restrooms and bar. When the ocean is calm your cruise will take you to the waters beyond Nawiliwili Bay where sightings of dolphins, turtles and North Pacific Humpback whales (December to March) are likely (not guaranteed and weather dependent). Your cruise continues to the Huleia River, home to the 1,000-year-old Alekoko Menehune Fish Pond and the Huleia National Wildlife Refuge created for endangered Hawaiian water birds.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
Get your cameras ready to capture the towering mountains that dominate the skyline, water that changes with every sea breeze, and the 125-year-old 86-foot-tall Ninini Point Lighthouse.
REFRESHMENTS
Relax and unwind as you enjoy chips, nuts and cookies and sip on juice, iced coffee, soda, bottled water, beer, mimosas and all-you-can-drink signature cocktails from the on-board bar.
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
As your cruise the sapphire blue waters you'll learn how movies such as "Raiders of the Lost Ark" were shot in and around the Garden Isle of Kauai, how this tranquil area once endured shelling during WWII, where a legendary giant once stood guard against invaders and more.
