WHAT YOU VISIT

Kauai Coffee Company
Dating back to the early 19th century when it was known as the McBryde Sugar Company, the artisan coffee company transformed to the Kauai Coffee Company in 1987. With over 4 million coffee trees grown on 3,100 acres, it's not only Hawaii's largest coffee grower, but the largest coffee grower in the U.S. (and in the only state that grows coffee). During your guided tour through the coffee orchard, you'll learn all about how our coffee is grown, harvested and roasted right here on the island. After the tour, you can step into the Visitor Center and enjoy free samplings of Kauai coffee accompanied by a chocolate macadamia nut cookie.

Kilohana Plantation Estate
At the historic Kilohana Plantation Estate, watch as your bartender teaches you how to make the perfect mai tai made with Koloa Rum and fresh pressed sugar cane juice grown right here on the plantation. Then judge for yourself as you sip on your beverage at the Mahiko Lounge which is in the living room of the Kilohana Mansion. You can also browse in the 7 unique shops and galleries for many unique made-on-Kauai products. Then board the Kauai Plantation Railway for a fascinating ride back through history to the plantation days of Kauai. This narrow-gauge railway is a 1939 reproduction of the railway cars of the period of King Kalakaua, a 19th century monarch of the Kingdom of Hawaii. Your conductor will point out many of the more than 50 fruits and vegetables that are growing on the farm, including exotic varieties of pineapple, papaya, mango, and rambutan.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Capture memorable shots as you meander among the coffee orchard at Kauai Coffee Company; and once seated in the Kauai Plantation Railway, you can take stunning photos from the comfort of your seat.

SHOPPING
Enjoy free time to stop by the Kauai Coffee Company Gift shop for a variety of Hawaiian coffee products, such as cups, mugs, tumblers, shirts, coffee gift sets and more; and visit the shops at the Kilohana Plantation Estate for unique made-in-Kauai products.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Sit back and relax as your coach travels from the harbor to the western side of the island, passing verdant farmland.
