WHAT YOU WILL VISIT:
Mt. Hallasan (Mount Halla) Trekking
The tallest mountain in all of South Korea, Mt. Hallasan (Mount Halla), a dormant volcano, rises 6,400 feet (1,950 meters) from the center of Jeju Island. It earned its designation as Korea's first UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site for its steep slopes, majestic cliffs and unusual rock formations. It has six different hiking trails that make the most of the stunning scenery and weave through alpine flora and lush vegetation. A knowledgeable guide will escort you on a two-hour hike along the Eorimok Trail, of easy to moderate difficulty. Wear sturdy footwear, prepare for the elements as weather can change dramatically, and bring a water bottle.

WHAT YOU WILL SEE ALONG THE WAY:
Seogwipo has a compact urban center and an expansive coastline. The prominent Hallasan Mountain is a prized natural landmark, as are the waterfalls, rock formations and picturesque views that surround the southernmost city in Korea. Mt. Hallasan is blanketed with an abundance of trees, including the protected Korean fir, and colorful alpine flora. Interesting rock formations are found on the volcanic cliff sides often surrounded by springtime azaleas. The Eorimok Trail features some of the most picturesque scenery of Jeju Island.

SHOPPING:
Local delicacies as far as the eye can see greet visitors at Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market, a bustling indoor marketplace established in the 1960s. From premium produce and seafood to colorful souvenirs, the stalls, tended by friendly locals, brim with delights.
