WHAT YOU VISIT
Evening Cruise on the Bosphorus
Journey along the shoreline of this narrow waterway, which joins the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara for views of historical treasures dotted along both banks. Among the picturesque villas and villages, you'll see Rumeli Castle perched upon the strait's narrowest point. Constructed in 1452, it's a fine example of Ottoman military architecture. Across from Rumeli sits Anadolu, built in 1394 by Ottoman Sultan Bayezid I as part of his preparations for a siege on then-Byzantine city of Constantinople. As the motorboat continues, gaze upon Istanbul's grand Ottoman palaces including the 15th century Dolmabahce, Istanbul's first European-style palace; and 19th century Beylerbeyi, the Ottoman sultans' official summer residence. Before returning to the pier, you'll pass beneath the Bosphorus Bridge and views of curving domes and rising minarets.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
There are so many architectural delights worth capturing including: Rumeli Castle whose three large towers, one small tower, and thirteen smaller towers, remain in very good condition; at over 630 years, Anadolu is the oldest surviving Turkish architectural structure in Istanbul. With an area of 45,000 square meters (eleven acres), Dolmabahce is the largest palace in Turkey boasting 258 rooms and 46 halls. The white marble estate of Beylerbeyi stands in contrast to the lush woods that surround this imperial estate.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
The panoramic cruise down the Bosphorus Strait by motorboat just may leave you breathless. Whether from the comfort of the interior saloon or on deck, you'll marvel at the stunning views of Europe and Asia.
