WHAT YOU VISIT
Whale Watching & Wildlife Cruise
This leisurely tour of the awe-inspiring Westfjords begins with a 10-minute walk from the pier to your waiting boat. Once aboard, your captain will steer a course across the waters of the 53-mile-long Isafjardardjup--one of Iceland's largest fjord systems with eight different individual fjords and three islands.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
The waters of the Westfjords teem with marine life and you may spot a humpback, blue, fin, minke, sperm or orca whale breaching up out of the water and slapping the surface of the water with its tail and fins. Harbor seals and dolphins also frequent the Westfjords and the island of Vigur is home to 100,000 puffin couples and thousands of ducks, arctic terns, and black guillemots.
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Breathe in the cool, crisp air as you voyage across across the waters of Isafjardardjup and past the rugged coastlines of the Snaefjallastrond, with snow-streaked mountains rising over 935 feet above sea level.
Schedule
