WHAT YOU VISIT
Thingeyri Recreated Viking Village
Stroll into the Skalinn Viking Center for hand's on activities. Dress up like a Viking in authentic handmade Viking clothing, bake Viking bread on an open fire, try out replicas of their weapons and cheer with a Viking beer.

Dynjandi Waterfall
The Westfjords region's main attraction is a staircase waterfall that flows over seven lava layers after another that plunge from a height of 100 meters (328 feet) into the fjord at Dynjandisvogur inlet to over 60 meters (196 feet) wide at the bottom. Dynjandi, which means "the thundering one".

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
The day offers one memorable photo after another. In Thingeyri, take a selfie dressed in replica Viking armor, jewelry, and weapons. While visiting Dynjandi, you can take great shots from the observation platforms at each individual waterfall, which allows you to view the waterfalls both above and below giving you very different perspectives of this natural wonder.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Attached to the mainland by a narrow isthmus of land just over nine kilometers(six miles) wide, the Westfjords are one of the least-visited corners of Iceland; in fact, this breathtakingly beautiful region only receives three percent of visitors every year. Which means you may have this quite corner of the world all to yourself.
