What You Will Visit:

Wilderness Hike
Explore the outback regions of the Tongass National Forest on a guided hike that cuts through a skyward canopy that shelters shorter evergreen trees, lush shrubbery and indigenous plant life. Home to an abundance of wildlife such as Sitka black-tailed deer, bald eagles and brown bears, this remote locale is on private, Native American land reached by abandoned logging roads.

What You See Along The Way:
Located near Glacier Bay and the Native American settlement of Hoonah, Icy Strait Point is situated in an old-growth spruce and hemlock rainforest, home to an incredibly diverse wildlife population. Humpback whales, orcas, Dall's porpoises, seals and sea otters populate the local waterways, while brown bears and bald eagles call the land home. On a hike of this remote area, views of Icy Strait, Spasski Harbor, Chichagof Island, and Glacier Bay can be seen.
