Enjoy a full-day, moderately active, guided excursion to explore the stunning city of Macau. Begin at your pier where you will board an air-conditioned motorcoach for a brief scenic drive to Hong Kong Ferry Terminal.
Board a turbojet for a one-hour turbo jet voyage through the glistening waters that offers views of Cheung Chau and Lantau Islands.
Your destination is Macau. Established in 1557 by the Portuguese as a trading post and a bastion of Christianity, this former colony is an exotic blend of Chinese and Portuguese cultures.
Tour the ruins of St. Paul Cathedral, Macau's most famous building built in the early 17th century by an Italian Jesuit. Only the façade remains of this exquisite cathedral, as the interior was destroyed by fire during a typhoon in 1835.
Visit the Museum of Macau, home to a vast collection of cultural and historic art, artifacts and memorabilia which trace Macau's history from its colonial heyday to the present. Enjoy time to browse for souvenirs among the vendors at St. Paul Cathedral and in the gift shop at the museum.
Take in the tranquil beauty of the A Ma Temple, erected in the 15th century by Chinese fishermen as a shrine to the goddess A Ma, for whom the city is named. This Chinese temple consists primarily of four halls which sit in perfect harmony with the natural environment.
Step out of the past and into the present with a visit to the top of the spectacular Macau Tower. Opened in 2001, this 1,109 foot tower (which is the 10th highest building in the world) offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Featuring glass elevators and an observation deck with sections of glass flooring, you will feel as if you're soaring in the air!
Indulge in a tasty, buffet lunch in the Tower Revolving Restaurant located on the 60th floor of the Macau Tower. Take in the 360 degree view as you relax and dine.
You'll have the opportunity to peruse the tower's gift shops prior to returning to the Macau Ferry Pier for your catamaran journey back to Hong Kong Terminal and ultimately your ship in the harbor.
