Your adventure in Berlin begins when you transfer from port to the train station and embark on an approximately 2.5 - 3 hour train ride to Berlin. During the train ride, a host will hand out water and a little snack.
You will also be given an 'emergency kit' with important telephone numbers and of course the meeting time and place for your return journey.
Once you arrive in Berlin meet your guide on the platform and follow them to your waiting motor coach. Your morning tour of Berlin will include photo stops outside the Brandenburg Gate and Checkpoint Charlie. You will also pass by other sights, such as the famous remaining pieces of the Berlin Wall, Tiergarten Park and the Victory Column to give you a good overview of the city.
Your guided tour ends at the famous Marx–Engels Forum, located close to the Museum Island. From here you can explore Berlin independently in the afternoon. Go for a walk, do some shopping or have lunch in one of the many cafes and restaurants.
Your independent time coming to an end, meet your fellow travelers at the train station for your 2.5 hour journey home. Your host will hand out water and a little snack on the way before you arrive back in Hamburg for a short coach transfer back to your ship.
For tours that offer more in-depth exploration with actual visits to one or more sites, see the other options in this port.
