Take a panoramic tour to take you to the beautiful coastal resorts of Playa del Ingles and Puerto de Mogán. From your coach window you'll have stunning views of the Atlantic's turquoise waters and the mountains and get some impression of typical contemporary Canarian residential areas. Once you have made your way south, you'll understand why so many tourists return to Gran Canaria year after year.
En route to Puerto de Mogan you'll pass beach front towns before making a photo stop at the famed Playa del Inglés. "English Beach" commemorates the island's early English colonists who chose this lovely spot for relaxing in the sun. Today, it's a favorite spot for locals and tourists alike. Be sure to take a picture of the dramatic Maspalomas sand dunes.
After your short photo stop, you'll once again board your bus and venture to the nearby village of Puerto de Mogán, considered by many to be the most picturesque resort in all of Gran Canaria. Called "La Venecia de Canarias," this Little Venice is known for its arched bridges that span a series of canals. As you walk its narrow streets you'll be awe-struck by the colorful strands of bougainvillea that inch their way up the charming, little white washed houses.
Did you know that there are two Mogáns? The sleepy hamlet of Puerto de Mogán is the older, original harbor. At one time, it could only boast a few homes and creaky steps that lead down to a small number of fishermen's huts on the beach. Today, the newer town of Mogán is established back onto the hillsides. Together, they make a wonderful destination. You can stroll the promenade, enjoy a tasty treat in any of the fine restaurants, watch the yachts in the bay or take a swim in the warm and welcoming water.
At the end of your visit, you'll travel back to Las Palmas along the highway.
