Board your motorcoach in Genoa and enjoy a scenic drive to lovely Manarola, where your tour of two of the villages of Cinque Terre begins.

Cinque Terre is a national park protected by UNESCO. The area is characterized by steep terraced slopes cultivated with vines, a testament to the transformation of the territory carried out by man's hard work. The coast falls in sheer, often vertical cliffs to the sea, alternating with small creeks and enchanting beaches among the rocks.

Each town of Cinque Terre is unique. The turquoise waters, mild climate and maze of footpaths make it a wonderful area to explore. Olive groves, lemons and grapevines grow in abundance and the air is fragrant with their offerings. Cinque Terre was declared a UNESCO Heritage Site in 1997 to ensure that the production of Sciacchetrà would be preserved. Sciacchetrà, a scented passito wine, is known all over the world.

Your day begins in the ancient seaside village of Manarola, possibly the oldest town in the Cinque Terre. The cornerstone of the church, San Lorenzo, dates from 1338. The town is nestled on a ridge overlooking the sea and the quintessential stone homes are painted with colorful facades. In Manarola, you will board a motorboat for a scenic coastline cruise where you'll see from afar, the villages of Corniglia and Vernazza before arriving in Monterosso

No visit to the Cinque Terre would be complete without visiting the most famous of the Five Lands. Monterosso is divided into two sections with the medieval Aurora Tower standing proudly in the center. The area's lush vegetation, wonderful beaches and cliff-top views are a photographer's dream. After a guided introduction to the village, you will have free time to explore the tiny shops and boutiques. During your free time in Monterosso al Mare, browse the many cafés, sample local delicacies, and enjoy a traditional Italian lunch on your own.

At the completion of your day, admire the beautiful panoramic views of the coastline as your motorcoach takes you back to Genoa and the ship.

Please be aware that the tour involves a steep slope at Manarola and flights of stairs in the other villages.

Wear appropriate shoes for cobblestones and trails.

Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience. Euros are required for purchasing lunch and refreshments.

Please note: This tour is very popular and typically sells out. Alternative tours with similar content may be available, including GOA-135 Cinque Terre & Portovenere.

In the Fall, boat services along Cinque Terre stop operating at the beginning of November. Therefore, in November and December, this tour will operate by bus and train, and not by boat.
