The excitement begins at the pier where you'll meet your friendly and knowledgeable guide who will travel with you to Nozarego.

When you arrive in Nozarego your guide will lead you along a well-worn path that leads to your destination in Portofino. As you make your way uphill and down, you'll traverse a hillside covered with Mediterranean flora, and dotted with vineyards and olive groves and 1,257-foot-high Monte Croce di Nozarego rising off in the distance.

Have your camera handy as you look out over a serene landscape of medieval dwellings and cliffs that drop off to the crystal clear sea.

Another photo stop is assured at a restored olive oil mill that now houses a small museum and a café. Soon, the great outdoors will call you to rest so you'll sit down and soak up the scenery as you indulge in a picnic of locally made white wine and a slice of focaccia bread. Rested and fed you'll continue to hike past elegant villas nestled among tropical plants and olive trees.

When you reach Portofino, you'll have some free time to shop, relax in a café with a refreshing drink or take in the local sights.

When it's time to call it a day you'll meet up with your minivan at the appointed time and begin your journey back to Genoa.
