WHAT YOU VISIT
Kayaking and Gdansk
For centuries, Gdansk was an important waterway where ships carrying goods such as grain, timber, and salt would sail into its massive dock. Paddle through the same waters that greeted medieval sailors when you join the Zabi Kruk Kayak Club and explore Gdansk from a refreshing new angle. When you arrive at the launch site, the experienced team will outfit you with everything you need. After a safety briefing, you'll hop in your kayak and follow your shore excursion leader out into the welcoming waters. Kayaking through Gdansk is a unique chance to admire Old Town from the Motlawa River with stops at several key sights including the medieval Gdansk Crane, and Spichrz Island with old brick granaries lining the river. Glide past well-preserved 17th century fortifications and medieval water gates to Old Town, where you'll hop out for an hour of free time.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
Enjoy views of the city's historic waterfront and harbor from a unique perspective as you paddle your way to sites such as the historic Gdansk Crane, the city's the most prominent symbol.
