Be transported back in time to the 17th century to learn how, hidden beneath the Royal Mile, lies Edinburgh's most dramatic architectural secret, hidden 'closes' where real people once lived. A series of exhibitions introduce life on the closes, then you'll descend to the subterranean level where costumed characters lead the way through a labyrinth of alleyways and offer their own fascinating perspective to life on the close. Learn about the 'black death,' the plague that terrorized the residents of Mary King's Close, and the ghosts that roam the streets today. Both informative and spooky, this underground interactive experience offers a unique experience.
