Board your motorcoach and travel south through the Border Country, crossing the picturesque landscape of checkerboard farms and river valleys en route to Dryburgh Abbey, beautifully situated on the banks of the River Tweed.

The first photo stop of the tour is Dryburgh Abbey, the Abbey is one of four abbeys founded by David I in the 12th century. A frequent victim of the border wars between Scotland and England, the abbey was ultimately destroyed in 1545. Located on a hill, from the moment you set foot on the sacred property, you are immediately struck by a sense of seclusion. After a brief photostop, you will make your your back to the motercoach.

Drive to Floors Castle, the stately home of the Duke of Roxburghe. The castle has been in continuous use by the family since it was built in 1721.

One of the few castles you will see that is still a private home, it has a unique warmth and personal atmosphere. You can truly imagine the life lead in such splendid surroundings. Your tour begins at the covered porch, where visitors in the 17th century would have arrived by carriage. You will be escorted into a wide selection of rooms, such as the anteroom with sweeping, panoramic views of the grounds, the drawing room with distinct, 17th-century tapestries and the magnificent ballroom, the largest room in the castle. Everywhere you look you will see exceptional fine art and splendid antiques. As you stroll through the halls, your knowledgeable guide will impart the history and lore of this magnificent castle, featured in the movie version of Tarzan as Greystoke Manor. In the basement a new exhibition at Floors "A Castles Story" will take you though the building's history and the ongoing roof project that will take the visitor on a journey through the life of the very fabric of the castle.

Your tour continues with a lovely drive through the quaint town of Kelso. The area's cobblestone streets, elegant Georgian-style buildings and French-style open-air markets will charm you. Here you will have some free time to enjoy lunch and explore the shops.

On your return, enjoy scenic views of charming Edinburgh, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you'll enjoy a driving tour highlighting some of the key points of interest in this historical city.
