What you will see along the way:
Embark on an unforgettable journey as you depart from the pier on foot and board your agile vessel for a whale-watching adventure. Eastport, the easternmost point of the United States, is renowned for its captivating whale-watching experiences, yet its allure extends far beyond this spectacle. Enjoy views of the rugged beauty of Maine's coastline and some of the highest tides in the world, occurring twice daily. This unique geography, where the Gulf of Maine narrows into the Bay of Fundy, sets the stage for a mesmerizing display of nature's power. Keep your eyes peeled for majestic whales as well as bald eagles, ospreys, dolphins and seals, all inhabitants of this rich marine ecosystem.
Photo Opportunities:
Be sure to have your camera at the ready. Whales have a breathing cycle that typically lasts four to six minutes; they surface several times in quick succession to recharge their oxygen supply, then show their massive tail flukes before disappearing into the depths to feed on krill and small schooling fish. Your captain will maneuver the agile vessel for maximum photo opportunities.
