Eastport Harbor by Working Lobster Boat

Welcome aboard "The Lady H," an authentic Maine lobster boat, for a fun 90-minute sail on the Downeast Lobster & Seal Cruise. Discover Maine's history in commercial fishery and watch a demonstration on the art of lobstering in the pristine waters of Passamaquoddy Bay. Accompanied by a licensed lobster fisherman, you'll have the opportunity to pull real lobster traps and observe the captain as he hauls them in. As the vessel navigates the bay, keep your eyes peeled for porpoises, whales, bald eagles, ospreys, seals and other wildlife that call this area home. Witness the impressive 26-foot tides and venture past the "Old Sow" whirlpool, the largest whirlpool in the Western Hemisphere, while listening to captivating sea stories. To enhance your adventure, bring binoculars, a camera, warm clothing and any snacks you might enjoy.

As far "downeast" as you can go in Maine, Eastport is a coastal city located on Moose Island, flanked by Cobscook Bay and Passamaquoddy Bay, just across from New Brunswick, Canada. These turbulent waters bring nutrients to the surface, supporting rare aquatic life. Eastport's rocky coastline showcases dense trees and vegetation.
