Your excursion begins at the pier in Dover as you board your motorcoach and travel on the motorway to London's West End. Pass by Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square with its imposing Nelson's Column, and the National Art Gallery.
The neo-Gothic Parliament Buildings dominate the banks of the River Thames. You'll drive past Parliament and see iconic Big Ben. Be sure to snap a picture of the impressive clock, as Big Ben is as potent a symbol of England as the White Cliffs of Dover.
You'll pass by Whitehall on the way to Westminster Abbey. View the historic Abbey to snap a shot of its gorgeous Gothic exterior. The Abbey is the site of coronations and funerals for Britain's Royal family.
For lunch, soak up the atmosphere at an English pub for a traditional two-course lunch. Following lunch, you'll travel to old London, known as 'The City,' to see the Tower of London where William the Conqueror began construction of London's fortress, notorious as a royal prison and the site of bloody executions.
Situated adjacent to the Tower of London you'll pass the flamboyant Victorian-era Tower Bridge. You'll also see St. Paul's Cathedral. London's master architect, Sir Christopher Wren, designed this superb cathedral in the late 17th century.
