Begin your excursion at the pier as you board your motorcoach and travel west from Dover through Kent county, so nicknamed the 'Garden of England' with its beautiful landscapes, to Leeds Castle, home to six English queens and a playground of Henry VIII.

Take a self-guided tour of the castle. Castle guides are stationed throughout the castle to answer any questions during your visit. Follow a tree-lined stream through the estate and venture out on to the grounds, the two islands on which the castle lies. Pass through the 13th century Gate Tower. The restored rooms boast tapestries, paintings and furnishings.

You'll have time to visit the well-stocked gift shop before heading back on your return route to the ship.
