WHAT YOU VISIT
Litchfield National Park
Located on the lushly forested northern tip of the province known as Australia's Top End, the park covers approximately 580-square-miles and boasts an incredible array of scenic delights. As you make your way through the park, you'll be treated to a world of spectacular perennial waterfalls, striking sandstone pillars and the famous Termite Mounds, incredible architectural works of art constructed by millions of termites. Numbering in the hundreds, this collection of mounds stands over six-feet-tall and are mysteriously aligned to the earth's magnetic field.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Have your camera ready when you stop at the park's renowned Wangi Falls. Known to the local Aboriginal people as Nyunydjurr, Wangi (which rhymes with "wrong guy") is a segmented waterfall that descends from an elevation of 276 feet above sea level via a series of tiers that fall from a height between 130 to 170 feet. The viewing platform affords amazing views over the falls and the deep pool that's surrounded by the lush monsoonal rain forest.

LUNCH
Enjoy a buffet lunch of BBQ fish or BBQ chicken, a selection of mixed and garden salads, fruit, breads, tea and brewed coffee at the Litchfield Café tucked inside the park.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
From Darwin, you'll travel south past abandoned WWII airstrips and the town of Batchelor. Sit back and relax as you ascend the rocky Tabletop Range where dry woodlands and forests dominate the huge sandstone plateau. As the air-conditioned coach makes its way through the park, it's interesting to note that the Aboriginal people have lived throughout the area for thousands of years.
