Your seven-hour cultural exploration around the modern city of Da Nang and its environs begins when you board your motor coach for a scenic drive through south-central Vietnam.

Da Nang is the biggest commercial, educational and transportation hub of this part of Vietnam, but before its modern incarnation, this region was part of the Champa Kingdom, which ruled here between the 7th and early 19th centuries. Some descendants of this kingdom, the Cham people, still live in this region and speak a distinct Malayo-Polynesian language.

Your first stop is at the Marble Mountain Village, one of the premier attractions in Da Nang, visited by more than a million people a year. This group of five striking limestone and marble hills marks the site of caves, temples and, at its base, lovely gardens and a stone-carving village, where sculptors create beautiful artwork from the local marble. Explore the Marble Mountains Cave of Heaven & Hell to admire the many altars carved into stone in the depths of the mountain.

Your next stop is relaxing visit to Marble Mountain Beach where you'll enjoy refreshments and the natural beauty of this spot that was made famous during the Vietnam War, when American GIs spent time swimming and surfing on their off-hours at this glorious stretch of golden sand. Now, the beach attracts surfers and tourists from around the world.

Conclude your day with the bustling Han Market. Originally a small trading post during Vietnam's time under French control, it has developed into a large marketplace offering flowers, footwear, fabrics, and fruit at excellent prices. Stroll through its spacious layout and pick up some bananas, jackfruit, or the delicious, locally produced fish sauce!
After this, enjoy free time to explore Da Nang on your own. The guide will make appointment time to re-board your motorcoach for the relaxing ride back to port.
