Curacao Dolphin Academy
The Curacao Dolphin Academy has been in operation since 2002. It is the academy's mission is to provide an educational venue for guests to deepen their appreciation of these magnificent mammals of the sea. Initially, five coastal bottlenose dolphins were transported to the academy from Roatan, Honduras. Today, this thriving family has grown to over 20 strong! The Curaçao Dolphin Academy is dedicated to the humane care and training of the dolphins. Positive reinforcement is utilized, meaning the dolphins are rewarded for their mastery of a trick but never, ever punished. The Curacao Academy is 1 of the 3 facilities worldwide who take the dolphins to the open ocean. Everyday another pair of dolphins have the opportunity to follow the small boat and expand their territory. They go up to 1.9 miles away from the facility. This safe, interactive dolphin program is appropriate for all ages and an adventure you'll never forget. The knowledgeable dolphin trainer will teach you some of the hand signals used to communicate with these gentle mammals and how to interact with them in the water and will detail what to expect when you are in the water with these delightful creatures. Please note that cameras are not allowed in the water for the safety of the dolphins; professional photographers are on hand to take digital photos, which you may purchase after your experience.
The Dolphin Swim
Enjoy this unique blend of dolphin interaction and basic swimming. This tour consists of close interaction with dolphins in the natural dolphin lagoon. Here you can gently touch the dolphins as they join you for a casual swim. Participantes will give the dolphins different signals on which they will sing, spin, wave and much more.

Travel through the historic district of Willemstad. The port of Willemstad is alive with historic treasures. One of the six UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Caribbean, it was selected in 1997 because of the city's dedication to the preservation of culture and its multicultural community that has grown over three centuries. The architecture and ambiance of Willemstad reflect influences from around the globe, and you'll be able to spot Latin accents, African heritage, and Dutch traditions throughout the tour.

Pregnant women may not participate in the Dolphin Swim. This program is not intended for children under the age of 8 and under 51 inches tall. Participants must be experienced swimmers, accustomed to using fins. Ratio of guests to dolphins is 6:2. Actual swim time with dolphins is 30 minutes. Personal photography is prohibited at the Curacao Dolphin Academy. The photo service at the venue is not affiliated with or provided by the cruise line. Any photos purchased from this service will be the passengers' responsibility.
