WHAT YOU VISIT
Chania Old Town
Once a Minoan community named Kydonia, Chania was built around Kastelli Hill, which rises above the Venetian harbor. Used as a natural fortress for thousands of years, Kastelli Hill once served as the site of a Roman acropolis, a Byzantine fortification, and a lookout for the Maltese pirate Enrico Pescatore. At the foot of Kastelli Hill sits Old Town, home to many of Chania's oldest architectural gems. Enjoy a leisurely tour through the picturesque old port, famed for its vibrant atmosphere, colorful buildings, and scenic waterfront views.

Therisos
Relax on a scenic drive through the picturesque Cretan countryside of rolling hills and lush landscapes to the idyllic village of Therisos set 580 meters (1,902 feet) up on the foothills of the massive White Mountain range.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
Get your cameras ready for the stunning views of Therisos Gorge. Surrounded by rocky cliffs and covered in sycamores, oaks and cypresses, the six-kilometer-long (over three-mile-long) gorge never fails to impress.

SNACKS
Enjoy Therisos hospitality with traditional appetizers such as small "dakos," a salad topped with chopped tomatoes and crumbled cheese; "kalitsounia," Cretan handheld pies stuffed with cheese; graviera cheese and cherry tomatoes; plus coffee served with "tsikoudia" brandy.
