WHAT YOU VISIT
Ajaccio on Foot, Local Market & Tasting: A Small Group Tour
Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, the two-hour tour is limited to a group of 25 or less. Listen along to tales of the Imperial City that's synonymous with Napoleon Bonaparte as you stroll from the pier past pastel-hued buildings, quaint, narrow streets and the 18th century Town Hall, designated a historical monument in 1990. Nearby stands the 345-year-old Maison Napoleon-the site of Napoleon's birthplace in 1768 and now a museum dedicated to the life and times of the Bonaparte family. Just minutes away is Ajaccio Cathedral, the 16th century landmark where Napoleon was baptized in 1771. As you return to the ship, you'll walk through Place Foch, Ajaccio's main square.

Everywhere you point your camera you'll find one memorable photo after another. Take a moment to photograph the rococo adornments on the Ajaccio Cathedral and the Four Lions Fountain in the center of Place Foch that depicts Napoleon in a Roman toga flanked by four lions.
