Your excursion begins as you board your motorcoach at the pier. From Falmouth, you'll drive through the Fowey River valley en route to Lanhydrock House.

This Cornish country estate has a long and venerable history. Lanhydrock House was built by the second Baron Robartes. Your independent tour takes you through its 49 rooms for an upstairs-downstairs look at life in a 19th-century Victorian household. The gardens feature formal ornamental arrangements with magnificent displays of magnolias, rhododendrons and camellias climbing to oak and beech woods.

After your tour, re-board the motorcoach and continue to Fowey. Pronounced "Foy" to rhyme with "Joy," this ancient Cornish harbour is a village of narrow winding streets, flower-bedecked cottages, quaint shops and pubs. You'll have time to explore at your leisure, shop and eat lunch on your own. For a snack, try a Cornish pastry at one of Fowey's pubs before re-boarding your motorcoach for the return trip back to the ship.
