WHAT YOU VISIT
At Home with the O'Hanlon Family
This immersive culinary excursion goes beyond cooking-it's an embrace of Ireland's rich culture and traditions. Designed for a small group, this enriching experience offers beginning and seasoned cooks the chance to master the skills to create a number of iconic dishes. The venue is the 19th century Lynwood House, a fine example of Victorian architecture that is so typical of Cobh. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by owners Finn and Peter O'Hanlon with a welcome beverage with a choice from one of the local breweries or distilleries: Irish cider, Jameson Whiskey or homemade lemonade. Finn, a talented chef, will lead you into the kitchen and share a brief history of the house as you take a seat around the kitchen island/workstation.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES
Set atop a hill, Lynwood House offers panoramic views of Cork Harbor and numerous 19th century homes.

LUNCH
After learning the step-by-step secrets to cooking up an authentic Irish lunch, you'll enjoy lunch with Finn and Peter in the stately dining room or outside if weather permits. Your handmade feast includes traditional Irish soda bread served with smoked salmon and Irish stew served with colcannon, a classic, comforting mash of potatoes, cabbage or kale and butter or cream, flavored with scallions.

WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAY
Enjoy a brisk 15-minute walk along paved or cobblestone streets from the pier to Lynwood House past rows of homes that date back to a number of picturesque Victorian-era buildings.
